Here's one of the earliest known Paul Stanley prototypes from Ibanez. The story is that this is the first PS10 given to Paul for evaluation. It must have been made in '76 or early '77. The tailpiece is angled much like the Artist 2663 model tailpiece. This early version also had the recessed strap button area, like the 2663 models.
This guitar sold at auction on ebay.com in January of 2002 for $ 5,878.00 Note the oversized truss rod cover with Paul's signature. It actuals overlaps the Ibanez logo on this guitar. No serial numbers or hand stamping are evident anywhere on this beauty and it does not have the abalone binding that would become standard equipment on the production models.
